The Marbled Hatchetfish is a fascinating South American fish, recognizable by its "axe" shape and silvery marbled body. Specialized in surface swimming, it spends most of its time in the upper part of the aquarium. A gregarious and nervous species, it must be kept in groups to feel safe.
